Robert A.M. Stern Architects will collaborate with The Jekyll Island Company
E. Wade Shealy, managing member of The Jekyll Island Company, has announced that the New York based firm of Robert A.M. Stern Architects has joined the team of collaborating partners for future Georgia Coastal development initiatives.
Currently the company plans to use Robert A.M. Stern Architects to assist in the architecture for projects The Jekyll Island Company will initiate along the Southeast coast.
Stern Architects has a staff of 300 consisting of architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and supporting staff. They have established an international reputation as a leading design firm with wide experience in residential, commercial, and institutional work. They have also been involved in product design including furniture, lighting, fabrics, floor coverings and wall coverings. Their work has received numerous awards and citations for design including National Honor Awards of the American Institute of Architects.
Robert A.M. Stern founded the firm more than 38 years ago. Mr. Stern is a practicing architect, teacher, and writer. He currently is Dean of the Yale School of Architecture. He was previously Professor of Architecture and Director of the Historic Preservation Program at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at Columbia University.
